Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30 year old Putnam Valley man, who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On August 09, 2018 at approximately 7:19 pm, Yorktown Police Officers were dispatched to East Main St. for a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle into a ditch. Upon arrival, an investigation at the scene revealed that the driver of the vehicle was driving while impaired by drugs. Further investigation revealed that the defendant was in possession of a quantity of Xanax. The defendant was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on $ 100.00 cash bail to a responsible party. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on August 23, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Speed in Zone and Unlicensed Driver, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police on August 9, 2018, at approximately 6:20 am, Officer Gregorio was on patrol on Underhill Avenue when he observed a gray Hyundai that was allegedly traveling above the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated and a computer check at the scene revealed that the defendants driving privilege in New York was allegedly suspended and he was unlicensed. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and then released on $100.00 cash bail. The defendant is scheduled to answer said charges in the Yorktown Justice Court on September 11, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 71 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Gaming Fraud in the First Degree, a Class "E" Felony.
The Yorktown Police Department and New York State Gaming Commission investigators conducted an investigation into possible gaming fraud that was occurring at weekly BINGO Games at the Yorktown Jewish Center. The investigation led to the defendant being identified. It is alleged that the defendant, while working as the BINGO ball caller, violated the rules of casino gaming by allegedly changing the outcomes of multiple BINGO games. On August 9, 2018 at 10:53 AM, the defendant arrived at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was arrested for Gaming Fraud in the First Degree. The defendant was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on September 11, 2018 at 6:00 pm to answer the charges. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 43 year old Bronx man on an Arrest Warrant issued for Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, Both Class "D" Felonies, and Identity Theft in the 2nd Degree, a Class "E" Felony.
According to Police, on May 2, 2018 at approximately 10:30 AM, Det. Davis was dispatched to Key Bank for an attempted larceny. An investigation at the scene revealed that on April 28, 2018, the defendant allegedly possessed and used a forged driver's license while allegedly attempting to steal $7,000 from Key Bank. Det. Davis made several attempts to contact the defendant in regards to the incident and he was uncooperative. A warrant was applied for and issued by the Yorktown Justice Court on May 15, 2018 for his arrest. On August 7, 2018, Det. Nadoraski and Det. Finn responded to the Putnam County Jail where the defendant was being held on unrelated charges. He was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was placed under arrest on the active warrant. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who set bail at $10,000 cash. The defendant could not make bail and was remanded back to Putnam County Jail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on August 28, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Valhalla woman, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On August 7, 2018 at approximately 9:11 pm, Yorktown Police responded to a call of two people arguing in a vehicle in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot on Crompond Rd. Upon arrival, the vehicle was located and an investigation revealed that the female passenger was in violation of a Town of Mount Pleasant Town Court Temporary Order of Protection by being in the presence of the male driver of the vehicle. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail, which she could not post. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 9, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
