Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-eight year Mahopac man, who is charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest, both Class “A” Misdemeanors.
On August 7, 2018 at about 12:47 pm, Yorktown Police Officers, along with Lake Mohegan Fire Department and Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corps personnel, responded to the Macy’s parking lot for a report of an unconscious subject. While at the scene treating the unconscious victim, the defendant began interfering with the officers and fire/EMS personnel during their life-saving procedures. Officers attempted to arrest defendant, at which time it is alleged that he began struggling with the officers and had to be physically subdued. The defendant was eventually taken into custody and transported back to Yorktown Police Headquarters. He was later arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia and released on $500 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 28, 2018 at 6:00 pm. He was subsequently turned over to Carmel Police Department on an active Bench Warrant. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a fourteen year old male from Mohegan Lake, New York, a fourteen year old male from Cortlandt Manor, New York and a fourteen year old female from Mohegan Lake, New York, who are all charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge if committed by an adult being Making Graffiti, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On the morning of July 27, 2018, Yorktown Police were called to the Ivy Knoll Park for a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, the responding officers found that the park had been vandalized with graffiti during the overnight hours. Officers from both the Patrol Division and the Detective Division began an investigation into the graffiti, which culminated with the arrest of three local juveniles, two males and one female, all 14 years old. The juveniles were arrested at their residences’ between July 31st and August 6th. All three juveniles were issued appearance tickets in the presence of their parents. They are each directed to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on August 15th, 13th and 7th, respectively. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 35 year old Cortlandt Manor man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
Police report that on July 27, 2018 at about 6:47 pm, P.O. Curtis responded to a property damage automobile accident on Route 202. After the accident report was completed, P.O. Curtis received a delayed driver's license inquiry, which showed that the defendant’s license was suspended for failure to pay a fine in the Town Of Mount Pleasant. The defendant was contacted and voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters on August 2, 2018, where he was issued a summons and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 4, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and DWI Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or More, both Unclassified Misdemeanors. He is additionally charge with several traffic infractions.
On August 03, 2018, at approximately 4:36 pm, Yorktown Police received a call of a head-on collision on Underhill Avenue. An investigation on scene revealed that one of the involved drivers was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. A breath test later revealed that the defendant was operating the vehicle while having a blood alcohol content of .08% or more and that he committed several traffic infractions as well. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible party. The defendant is due back in Yorktown Court on August 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 60 year old Mahopac man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, a Class "D" Felony.
On August 1st, 2018 at approximately 2:20 pm, a plain clothes Yorktown Police Officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot. Officers approached the vehicle for further investigation and found the occupant to be smoking "crack" cocaine. A search of the vehicle yielded more "crack" cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing. Tthe defendant was processed on the above charge and arraigned before the Honorable Gary Raniolo. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
