Yorktown Police report the arrest of a a 28 year old year old Putnam Valley man who is charged with Criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On May 3, 2018 at approximately 3:25 PM, PO Guilbert was dispatched to Jefferson Valley Lanes on a check on the welfare of a subject who appeared disoriented. Upon arrival on scene PO Guilbert located the defendant on Route 6 at Hill Blvd. Further investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of Suboxone, a controlled substance. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported back to Yorktown Police headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charge and then released on $100.00 cash bail to a family member. The defendant is scheduled to answer said charge in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 5, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of an 18 year old Cortlandt Manor man, whose name is being withheld due to possible youthful offender status. The defendant is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony.
On April 15, 2018 at approximately 7:10 pm Yorktown Police responded to a larceny complaint at a Yorktown residence. The defendant allegedly stole a credit card from the location. Officer Doherty and Det. Tausz were assigned to the case and conducted an investigation which revealed that the defendant allegedly possessed and used said credit card while at Ulta Beauty and H&M located within the Jefferson valley mall. Investigation was able to identify a suspect in the case. On May 8th 2018 at 3:50 pm the suspect voluntarily appeared at police headquarters at which time she was placed under arrest in reference to said incident. Following processing on the aforementioned charges the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia who released her on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to answer said charge in Yorktown Court on June 12, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 45 year old Brooklyn man on a Bench Warrant issued by the Yorktown Justice Court for failure to pay a fine.
According to Police, on 5/3/2018 the defendant turned himself into the Yorktown Police Department for an open Bench Warrant issued by Judge Raniolo of the Town of Yorktown Justice Court. It’s alleged the defendant had an active bench warrant for failure to pay a fine in the Yorktown Justice Court on 12/07/2017. PO Doherty took the defendant into custody for arrest processing. The defendant was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice court by Judge Raniolo who vacated the warrant after the defendant paid a fine. Yorktown Police report the arrest of twenty-one year old Bronx man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Fail to Yield, a Traffic Infraction.
On May 3, 2018 at about 7:38 am, Officer Woodard was on routine patrol on Crompond Rd. (Route 202) when he observed a vehicle allegedly fail to yield to on-coming traffic at the intersection of Crompond Rd. and Saw Mill River Rd. Officer Woodard conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. A routine inquiry of the driver’s license revealed that his operating privileges were allegedly suspended. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on $250 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 5, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 20 year old Yorktown man on an Arrest Warrant issued by Yorktown Justice Court for Criminal Sale of Marijuana 4th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor and Resisting arrest, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
An investigation into drug sales by the Westchester Heroin and Opiate Task Force resulted in charges being filed for the defendant after he allegedly sold marijuana to another person in January of 2017. Officers made attempts to contact the defendant in regards to the incident, so that he could voluntarily surrender to police but he was uncooperative. A warrant was applied for and issued by the Yorktown Justice Court on 04/10/2018 for his arrest. According to Police, on 05/01/2018 at approximately 12:15 PM Officers observed the defendant riding a bicycle on Gomer St. and attempted to place him under arrest for the active warrant. The defendant physically resisted arrest before being taken into custody. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant posted $500 cash bail and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on 05/24/2018. |
